Hi There, newbie here
Permalink

Newbie to the guild and chimney sweeping so expect to see alot of newbie questions posted from me.

I joined the guild in October after being made redundant at the end of September. I had been working in CAD for over 20 years specialising in retail design and shop layout planning so it's a bit of a change for me.

Started sweeping on 1st November and it's going well so far, really enjoying doing a more practical job (got sick of being stuck behind a computer all day).

Hi Mark, welcome. We aren't as active on here as we used to be I think most people have gone to the facebook versions but this has a great search box. We welcome your questions.

Hi Mark,
Welcome , this is the original info place to go and has some great search box full of useful info as Jules said.

The facebook Guild page will have more instant replies regarding stove id when you're out during the day.
The Guilds other pages are being improved daily now too.

It is worth looking on here for lots of questions you may have to save you asking what you might think of as a dumb question.

By the way. "There are no dumb or stupid ones. Those that don't ask never learn ".

John

Hi Mark,

Welcome and I prefer this site for finding answers to commonly asked questions as there is a search box to find anything that has been covered on here, you don't get that on FB.

For your previous question to identify a stove try searching for "stove id" and you will find a few past postings that always help.

Welcome to the forum Mark. The search box on here is great. You can view all previous stove id questions and may find the one you're looking for has already been identified - you wont find the same question posted several times a month like on facebook!
